this is not what we expected.

Ah yes…the new year approaches. If 2009 had been my hiking partner I would have push him off a cliff. But there were some great achievements made this year that I am really proud of myself for accomplishing. I’m currently enjoying a lifestyle that I’m sure my 9 year old self would have loved to have, and it’s all because I just said fuck it and went for it.

So what plans do I have for 2010? Well…in order to grow, sometimes you have to go back to the basics. By basics, I mean ripping out the ego and leaving yourself with only the id to act upon. My friend and I have teased what is sure to be a constant in the coming year, by howling in a bar, getting up on stage with a band and getting immediately thrown off stage and kicked out, etc. So here are some ideas that have been tossed around the table we know as life: dressing up as samurais and going out to a club, acting like john wayne and clint eastwood at a bar, turning the balcony into a dance floor in the summer, going out alone and meeting different crowds of people (I’ve already acted on this impulse, to much success). Here’s how it see it: I’m 23 and single, living in L.A. I deserve to be selfish and enjoy this time in my life. I also find it strange that people younger than me are getting engaged. I feel that there is a whole process of finding your passions in life when you’re single and financially independent that you’re going to miss out on by “jumping the shark”. But who knows, I could be completely wrong. Anyways, I hope everyone has a great 2010.
